Description
A Ford battery is a rechargeable battery that provides electrical energy to your auto.It is also known as an SLI battery (abbreviation of starting-lighting-ignition) and its chief objective would be to start the Ford engine.
The alternator supplies power for the Ford, once the engine is operating.
Typically, starting discharges less than three per cent of the battery capacity. SLI batteries are made to discharge a high burst of current, measured in amperes, and then be quickly recharged.
They’re not designed for deep discharge, along with the lifespan of the Ford battery can be reduced by a full discharge.
